A definition of Pilgrim: 'One who makes a journey to a sacred place'

Glastonbury has been a Centre of Pilgrimage for millennia drawing people from all over the world to visit and experience this fascinating place of history, myth and legend. Today, in the twenty-first century, Glastonbury is emerging as a Centre that recognises and honours all faiths, paths and beliefs and this is reflected in the wide and varied cultural experiences that are on offer in this vibrant, colourful town.

Glastonbury abounds with diversity and, whether you are coming out of sheer curiosity or planning a sacred journey, we hope that you will find what you are looking for on this site. You might not think of yourself as a 'pilgrim' but as a tourist or a visitor and, however you describe yourself, you will find something of interest at the PRC.

Our purpose is to serve visitors to this Sacred Place with information and support. If you do not find what you are seeking on this website, please send us an email and we will do our best to give you the answers you are looking for.

We welcome all people of all faiths and beliefs

Our volunteers offer information and support to visitors to Glastonbury on many subjects including:

  • Glastonbury as a Place of Spiritual Transformation
  • The Glastonbury energies and how they may be experienced
  • Sacred spaces in Glastonbury
  • Quiet places for reflection
  • Myths and history
  • Specialised events, workshops and seminars
  • Therapies and Healing
  • Accommodation specialising in the needs of pilgrims
  • Spiritual paths, as practised in Glastonbury
  • Signposts towards services that may be able to assist in times of crisis

The PRC has been formed by a group of local residents. It is a Not-For- Profit Association, managed and run by volunteers. To find out more, see About Us
